BUSINESS AND COMMON WORKING PRACTICE (Games, VFX & Animation Flowcharts) Task 4

ANIMATION PRODUCTION FLOWCHART

Animation Flowchart

As seen from the flowchart above the animation industry has relatively linear and easy production process. A few of the things that appear in this flowchart also appear in the VFX flowchart as they usually always have something to do with each other (An example of this would be the 3-D Modelling and Rendering)

GAMES PRODUCTION FLOWCHART

The Games Flowchart has the most things within the production process. As seen on the right side it relies a lot on the animation part of the industry which would then get put into a level editor and eventually given to the Porting Programmer. At the start to the middle it clearly shows that it relies on the VFX industry for Audio and Voice acting.

VFX PRODUCTION FLOWCHART

VFX Flowchart

Unlike the previous two Production Flowcharts that show that they slightly rely on another type of production within the industry. The VFX Production shows that it doesn’t just rely slightly on Modelling but it is definitely essential this is because the Animation Industry is a huge part of the VFX production process. The Flowchart shows that the 3-D models need to be textured, rigged, has appropriate lighting and is finally rendered so that the VFX process can begin.
